My name is Helen Feeney and I‘m the chairperson and founder of Bairnecessities.
My role was creating the organisation with help from Baby Bank Network in Bristol. Now I receive referrals from professionals and gather the items they require, handing over the packages to the professionals for them to deliver to the clients. I also coordinate donations, apply for funding, ensure we meet Trading Standards and Health and Safety guidelines and continue to promote the organisation.
I’m a mum to three little monkeys, a dance teacher and work as a community nursery nurse alongside the Health Visitors. It is through my job that I realised just how many families are struggling locally and so I set up Bairnecessities to try and help.
My name is Rosemary Johnston, and I am the treasurer for Bairnecessities.

I am passionate about every child having the best start in life and feel very privileged to be part of this fantastic charity which helps achieve this.
I am Wendy Cahoon and I am the Clothing Coordinator for Bairnecessities. This role involves sorting the clothing donations into age & gender, then bagging them up into individual packs for families when required.
