Meet the Team

Helen Feeney

My name is Helen Feeney and I‘m the chairperson and founder of Bairnecessities.

My role was creating the organisation with help from Baby Bank Network in Bristol. Now I receive referrals from professionals and gather the items they require, handing over the packages to the professionals for them to deliver to the clients. I also coordinate donations, apply for funding, ensure we meet Trading Standards and Health and Safety guidelines and continue to promote the organisation.

I’m a mum to three little monkeys, a dance teacher and work as a community nursery nurse alongside the Health Visitors. It is through my job that I realised just how many families are struggling locally and so I set up Bairnecessities to try and help.

Rosemary Johnston

My name is Rosemary Johnston, and I am the treasurer for Bairnecessities.

My role is to oversee all the financial aspects of the charity. I have 2 daughters and I am a grandmother and a great grandmother.

I am also a staff nurse and have been nursing for 36 years, I love reading, knitting, having fun with my great granddaughter, and learning new things.

I am passionate about every child having the best start in life and feel very privileged to be part of this fantastic charity which helps achieve this.
